Richmond City

Hanover

Hanover county is north of Richmond City. There is one official town, Ashland, and several other unincorporated towns like Hanover Courthouse, Mechanicsville, Rockville, Atlee, and Old Church. Hanover county boost of one of the lowest tax rates of the Richmond Region.

 

Powhatan

Powhatan, Virginia, has a strong historical background, and the area was originally home to several Native American tribes. The unincorporated community itself is named after Powhatan, the famed chief who was also Pocahontas's father. Today, Powhatan, Virginia, as the county seat of Powhatan County, has four neighborhoods and provides residents with a close-knit community just 33 miles from Richmond. Those residents living in Powhatan appreciate the city's mountainous scenery and slow-paced lifestyle.

 

Goochland

Goochland, Virginia, is the seat of Goochland County and a historic area in central Virginia, situated just 32 miles from Richmond. Known as a rural community, its residents enjoy a quiet and close-knit way of life. Goochland offers plenty of open green space, fresh air, and highway access to the attractions of the nearby big city.
